111. Off 'Mariner', Tamworth, Staffordshire Located within the perimeter fence of a warehouse complex on this industrial estate (the roads in the area are all related to space exploration) are two unsleeved Concrete Utilities 'Highway X' columns supporting unknown lanterns. The installations are generally in a good condition for their age, although the bracket of the second column along has started spalling. There is also a crack appearing near the door on the first, however I think that the columns will remain for some time yet due to them being privately owned. Considering that the column doors are now positioned behind railings, access to the column bases is severely restricted.

Interestingly, the columns on the actual public road are unsleeved Stanton 1808s - the rival columns to the Highway Xs.
