126b. Belfield Furnishings, Hallam Fields Road, Ilkeston Situated within a lorry park area within the factory complex are a couple of Falks 'Beaufort' utilitarian post-top lanterns; one fitted to a wall bracket, and the other fitted to a short post. Given the architectural design of the buildings, these fittings are likely to be the original external lights for the site.

The two lanterns can be seen in this wide shot; as you will notice, the post supporting the left-hand example is leaning; probably the result of accidentally being struck by a manoeuvring vehicle at some point.

The impact has damaged the lantern's bowl. Not visible here is the large GLS lamp that is still fitted within the lantern.

The wall bracket supporting the second example appears to have been bent out of shape slightly, with the result that the lantern is no longer installed horizontally to the wall - we can't blame a vehicular impact here, however!
