195A. Sheffield Forgemasters, Brightside Lane, Sheffield Attached to the buildings along the main roadway in to this large industrial complex are several ELECO lanterns - a gear-in-head Silver Ray, and multiple Golden Ray Mk IIIs. The operational status of these lights is not known, as newer wall-mounted bulkheads and floodlights exist too, which may supplement, or have replaced, the older fittings. Nevertheless, all are complete and free of damage.

The Silver Ray is the first lantern to be seen from Brightside Lane itself.

The lantern was designed to run a 250 - 400 Watt MBF lamp.

Two of the Golden Ray Mk III lanterns are visible further along the wall. All have had their canopies painted light green.

Various overhead cables pass in front of the foreground lantern, at this angle.

These lanterns were designed to run 140 Watt SO/H and SOI/H lamps, although this lamp type was replaced by the 90 Watt SOX lamp in later years. The lanterns incorporate Perspex bowls, which have become translucent over time.
