21g. Market Hall, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire. Fitted to wall brackets fixed to the building are several very rare AEI 'Fleetwood' fluorescent lanterns - later the lantern was modified to take a single 140-200 Watt SLI/H or 135 Watt SOX lamp and became known as the Thorn Alpha 5. As the Fleetwood, the lantern was designed to accommodate four 30 W fluorescent lamps, and it looks as if every lamp is still intact in each lantern. I do not know whether the lanterns still work, having said that; however, they still look to be connected up.

Following refurbishment of the Market Hall in 2014, these lanterns were removed. The belief is that they were all saved for collectors, however.
