27. The Pavilion Gardens, Off Burlington Road, Buxton Installed on the walkway that passes between the Gardens and the elegant stone buildings of St John's Road are some (seemingly) rather elderly cast iron columns, similar to the single example seen in Derby City Centre. These columns have very decorative bases, with the Derbyshire 'Buck in the Park' emblem cast into the inspection doors, and Latin words encircling it. Modern teardrop lanterns are now installed; however, the next page provides a possible indication as to the lanterns that were fitted originally.
