5. Darley Abbey Old Village. Around the old part of this village are many Bleeco and Revo cast iron columns and they are all well painted and free of large rust patches. The photograph below shows an example of one of the Revo columns. Although the lanterns are not original to them, they are well blended. They are DW Windsor 'Warwick Long' designs - although the lantern appears to use several components which were interchangeable with GEC lanterns of the period. Other lanterns used on these columns in the Darley Abbey area are Phosco P109s and P111s. What is unusual is that many of the lanterns in this area are still on individual time switch control.
