66. Townend Lane, Waterfall, Staffordshire.  Situated on the green of this attractive Staffordshire Moorlands village is a complete Eleco installation. This comprises an Eleco-Way 908 lantern and concrete column. Although the bowl is heavily clouded, the lantern runs a SOX lamp. I suspect that it might be running on time switch control, as there didn't look to be any photocell on the canopy, plus there are so few other lanterns in the vicinity that group switching would not be practical. (The lantern may well have been switched by this means when the pictures were taken as a two-part detector has since appeared on the canopy - November 2005.)

The column was later replaced in its entirety.
