100 Watt

12 Volt projector lamp; carries the Royal Appointment Coat of Arms for "the Late King George VI"; date code '13' = January 1953 (Ponders End, UK)

The Ponders End factory seems to have used the same date code as Enfield did, which was based on the standard ELMA coding system, but was offset by two years.

This lamp was supplied loose in a box of other vintage GLS lamps. As there was also an empty lamp packet in the same box, I have assumed that the two should have been together, although the etch stating the manufacturer, voltage, wattage and date code has faded away over time. The surviving etch carries 'Property of H.M. Government' branding, and a NATO-style part code (X2X965645) is stamped on the cap.
