3. Eleco GR501

Spotted on the 19th June 2004 on the B5004 Moira Rd between Woodville and Moira in North-west Leicestershire.

What I think happened: This was probably vandalism although I am not 100% sure. The bowl is missing and the lamp has been smashed. The lampholder has also come loose. A new roundabout is being constructed nearby and 8m columns have been erected, but have not had lanterns fitted yet, so perhaps this work is to blame for the damage.

The lantern has since been replaced with a Thorn Beta 2.
