All of the outgoing lanterns along here would have replaced Thorn Beta 7s running 80W MBF in the mid 1990s. The following photographs were taken on Sunday, 28th March 2010.
The lamp fitted in this outgoing Thorn Beta 5 had a partially-blackened outer bulb. Owing to the column's imminent replacement, replacing the lamp at this stage would obviously have been a waste of time, resources and money.
