This Philips XGS 103 installed in the early 2000s in place of an earlier combination of a 5M column and 35W lantern has had an anti-glare shield attached to the bracket in order to eliminate backspill into adjacent windows...I wonder whether the replacement Iridium will also be fitted with such a device once it is powered up. Ladybank Road is seen in the background.
The majority of the outgoing lanterns are Simplex Aries (35W SOX) fittings.
