Local Thorn Rivieras 1 and 2

The Riviera is not widely used in this area - I know of only a few of both types. The lantern appeared in the early 2000s - probably about the time when the lantern was launched. The smaller Riviera 1 is used on a footpath running alongside the A52 in Spondon (where my own example came from) whereas the larger Riviera 2 is used in the City Centre as a replacement lantern.

This dayburning Riviera 2 in the Cornmarket would have replaced an Alpha 3 which itself would have replaced an Atlas Alpha 8.
