Descending the escalator leading to the Piccadilly and Northern line concourses. It was within this escalator shaft, on the 18th November 1987, that the King’s Cross fire started; the consequences of which are still felt today. At the time of filming, the shaft was undergoing refurbishment as part of the comprehensive station extension. (22nd October 2008)
