170BF. Holly Bank Court, Off London Road, Clarendon Park, Leicester Installed on the private roadway / car park for these flats are six (according to aerial photography) 15 ft (5 m) triangular-based AEI / Thorn aluminium 'Leader 15' columns, all of which still support their original Ashby / Gamma 8 post-top lanterns; the fact that these installations are in private ownership being a key factor in their retention. The lamp types of these examples are unknown, but the lantern could accommodate a 100 - 200 Watt GLS (incandescent), 80 - 125 Watt MBF (mercury vapour), or 40 Watt SOX (low pressure sodium - the wattage later being reduced to 35 Watt) lamp, so one of these types may remain in use, although LED retro-fit solutions could have been employed instead, in more recent years.

Unusually, the columns are painted, with the shafts (and base castings for the lanterns) being white, and the bases being black.

The base castings of these examples being shaped to fit the triangular profile of the columns.

The three background installations are seen here, with the remainder being out of view, behind the building.

This lantern canopy is slightly misaligned.
