Off Church View, Ilkeston, Erewash, Derbyshire With thanks to AgentHalogen_87 for informing me of this Survivor. Located within the grounds to the St Thomas Catholic Voluntary Academy is a 5 m tubular steel column supporting a damaged and incomplete Thorn Gamma 6 post-top with a shallow base casting. Although this version would suggest that any discharge lamp control gear would then have to be situated within the column base, as this is a private installation, the Gamma 6 may have been configured just to run a standard GLS (incandescent tungsten filament) lamp throughout its working life.

The column is rather rusty, and the lantern's canopy is missing. Older Google Street View imagery suggests that two established trees were positioned by the column, which could have contributed to the lantern's current condition.

The lack of a canopy has caused the bowl to lean slightly.
