Ford Lane, Breadsall, Erewash, Derbyshire With thanks to AgentHalogen_87 for informing me of this Survivor. Located at the site of the former Ford Lane level crossing (now, only an access point to the railway line by Network Rail employees, following the construction of the A38 dual carriageway in the 1970s) is a long-abandoned, short, concrete lighting column that would have supported a top-entry lantern (likely, an open reflector fitting - similar to the type seen with these models) originally, and was probably provided to assist the crossing keeper when opening and closing the gates after nightfall. The column's design is unusual, and may have been an in-house British Rail (or possibly, a late design from its predecessor in this area -  the London, Midland and Scottish Railway) product.

The column looks all of about 10 ft (3 m) in height, and features a surprisingly short base section.

The joint between the bracket and column is in very poor condition, with much of the internal structural rebar being exposed.

Virtually nothing remains of the lantern - only a top cast section, and a connector.
