Off Stockton Road, Stockton, Long Itchington, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire With thanks to AgentHalogen_87 for informing me of this Survivor. Positioned adjacent the car park for Stockton Fishery is an AEI / Thorn 15 ft (5 m) 'Leader' triangular aluminium column supporting a 'Type 1' cranked top-entry bracket and lantern from GEC's Z5560 series. The combination is odd, considering that GEC produced their own aluminium column range, and Thorn's Beta 4 was an equivalent to the GEC lantern. Still, this mix-and-match setup makes for an altogether more unusual installation. Designed for 60 - 200 Watt GLS (incandescent tungsten filament) or 80 - 125 Watt MB / MBF (mercury vapour) lamps, given this installation's likely private ownership, the former light source seems a more likely candidate in this instance.

Recent tree pruning appears to have been undertaken in the immediate vicinity of the column; however, this could be for the benefit of the CCTV camera that is attached to the column shaft, rather than the lantern.

A small puddle of gathered rainwater exists in the lowest portion of the glass refractor bowl. A separate refractor dome appears to exist within the lantern.

The installation is pictured again from the front.

The bowl is installed the wrong way around, judging by the positions of the refractors on the underside. Just visible on the top of the lantern's canopy is a miniature photocell, suggesting that the lantern may still be operational.
